Good plastic bags - degradable

It was my Son's birthday this weekend and he wanted a new game for his Nintendo DS. I cycled to the local high street.

I accepted a plastic bag because I had load of thing to take with me on the bike. Normally I recycle these but of was a pleasent surprise when I noticed that it was degradable.

The question is "What do I do with the bag?". Feedback would be approciated.
