Recycle Can Ring Pulls

David R Munson "This is the first still life shot I've done in a really, really long time (outside of quick setups like the previous image). Last year I spent some time at Grapevine Lake here in the DFW area while working a catalog shoot. The beach was totally littered with old pull tabs from aluminum drink cans - the old kind that was went out of use in the US around 1980. Between shots I picked them up and tossed them in my bag, and I ended up with a couple hundred of them. Wasn't sure what to do with them, but this idea came to me today and it seemed perfect. There will likely be further still life studies done with these."
