Dubai Recycling Bins

Next to the air-conditioned bus stop (these are common all round Dubai) are recycling bins.

The UAE has one of the world's highest levels of domestic waste, second highest after the USA. The rate of household waste per head has reached an average of 730 kg in Abu Dhabi and 725 in Dubai. Apart from domestic waste, additional refuse comes from littering in the streets and parks, gardens and from the waste dumped in the seas and on beaches.
