BP Oil on Gulf Waters Near Brenton Island

Oil sits on top of the water in the Gulf Of Mexico near Brenton Island, Louisiana May 5, 2010. Efforts continue to clean up oil spilled from the Deepwater Horizon oil platform.

The BP leased oil platform exploded and sank on April 20, 2010 leaking an estimated 5,000 barrels of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico threatening wildlife and the seafood industry in the Gulf.
