Mud is so saturated with caustic bases, derivatives of cyan, sulfur, phosphorus and heavy metals, resulting from the process of extracting alumina from various ores, use of protective equipment that is now a necessity, not simply a precaution.

This red muddle burn any kind of clothes and those who come in contact with him, causing severe chemical burns.

Despite the efforts of Hungarian environmentalists, much of the flora and fauna of the Danube is in danger of death from this incident.
